SIGN Fracture Care International

Mission

SIGN Fracture Care International is a humanitarian organization that helps provide orthopaedic treatment to trauma victims in low- and middle-income countries. We focus on areas where the epidemic of road traffic and other accidents cause the most disability and loss of lives. We alleviate this burden by providing local surgeons with the training and medical implants they need to properly treat the patients that they serve. It is through the hands and minds of the local surgeons that we can promote healing, restore health, and provide hope to the trauma victims and their families.

Goals

1.We will strengthen the impact and quality of core SIGN programs. We will grow our total number of partnerships by at least 10 hospitals per year, deliver implants to treat 30,000 patients each year, and increase the rate of long-term feedback provided by our partners, which verifies the impact of our efforts.
2.We will help surgeons treat more types of injuries by designing, testing, and improving products, processes, and educational resources. We will achieve this by developing a 3-year roadmap that defines indications that SIGN Products will address and includes measurable success criteria for each goal.
3.Increase the skills and knowledge of SIGN employees and SIGN Surgeons through opportunities that promote learning and talent exchange. We provide training through in-person and virtual events to support continuing education of more than 1,000 SIGN Surgeons each year. Each staff member will have the opportunity to advance their skills and knowledge through external training or events each year.
