Vision

Our vision is for the Guadalupe River Center to become Kerrville’s community living room on the river, a welcoming place where people gather to learn, heal, connect, and protect the Guadalupe for generations to come, while creating accessible outdoor learning opportunities for young people and individuals with disabilities who may not otherwise have access to them.

Goals

1. 1.Provide year-round river safety classes that teach students, families, residents, and visitors how to read river conditions, use life jackets, recognize hazards, respond in emergencies, and safely enjoy the Guadalupe while building a more prepared community.
2. 2.Become a trusted resource for K-12 schools in Kerrville, Ingram, Hunt, and Center Point by offering a variety of river education, safety, conservation, and outdoor learning programs that support teachers, engage students, and connect classroom lessons to the Guadalupe River.
3. 3.Host multiple Family Fun Days each year that provide free access to kayaks, paddle boards, sailing, and hands-on learning clinics where young people can build outdoor skills, confidence, and a stronger connection to the Guadalupe River.
