Vision

The Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE is uniquely positioned to improve the quality of life for all Las Vegas residents by combining the strengths of several sectors. Multi-sector cooperation facilitated by the Mayor’s Fund allows for a multifaceted approach to solving our community’s most pervasive and complex challenges. Focusing on collective action recognizes that no single organization can make a measurable difference on complicated issues alone, but rather it takes everyone, across all sectors, working together toward a common agenda and shared goals.

Goals

1. 1.Our goal is to assist the City of Las Vegas in filling budget gaps for existing programs that are of great value and importance to its residents, and in most cases, the underserved and most vulnerable. Allowing private industry to invest in programs that will enhance and improve the lives of our residents is a true community effort.
2. 2.As the current economic climate evolves, so do the needs of our residents. Working with the city, we have the ability to pivot quickly to address the critical needs that are the reality of our community. We look for unique projects, and do not create new programs that are already underway by other nonprofits in our city. We only add a program if we feel we have the ability to make an impact.
3. 3.As a small nonprofit, we have invested in a database system allowing us to combine essential operational functions such as donor tracking and management, accounting, and more. We are exploring how technology tools such as AI can enable more efficiency while maintaining the quality of our communications and programming. Our CEO is in an executive coaching program to accelerate our performance.
