Mission

At We Grow NYC Inc., our mission is to spread and support sustainable, community-building urban growing practices. Our nonprofit’s focus on sustainable agriculture practices is in support of urban dwellers in NYC finding deeper connections to all stages of the growing process. We Grow NYC’s emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility is a critical tenet of our work to ensure we support and develop community hubs where young people and their families work within the broader community to learn, collaborate, and grow. Our vision centers high-quality, hands-on workshops to teach growers the unique needs and challenges of urban growing. By partnering with key community leaders and growing experts, we aim to build a future where urban growers do not see themselves limited by space or access to quality resources and support.
