League of Women Voters of Oregon

Mission

The League of Women Voters of Oregon is a grassroots political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government in order to build better communities. The League seeks to empower citizens to understand governmental issues and to participate in the political process. We seek to provide balanced, accurate, nonpartisan information to all Oregonians.

Goals

1.Youth Outreach: LWVOR seeks to expand our LWVOR Youth Council to empower youth to engage in government, understand the voting process, and discover ways to advocate for issues in their communities.
2.Voter Education: LWVOR continues to reach voters through our print and online voter resources, including our trusted Voters' Guides and candidate information on Vote411.org.
3.Advocacy Outreach: LWVOR seeks to provide tools for our 1,000+ members to reach people in their communities with the resources they need to become engaged, active participants in government.
