The nonprofit provides evidence of leadership through focusing externally and mobilizing resources for the mission.
This organization mobilizes for mission in the following ways:
What are this organization’s external mobilizaton efforts?
As the leading funder of animal welfare, we partner with more than 2,500 shelters and rescues to give pets in need a better chance at finding a loving family – which has led to over 10 million adoptions.
We also work with national health and human services partners to ensure wellness resources are accessible and affordable to all families and their pets. Through our Pet Hunger program, we work with organizations like Feeding America and Meals on Wheels to distribute nutritious pet food, because we believe pets are part of the family, no matter how hard it is to make ends meet. Together with our partner the American Red Cross, we are integrating pets into human disaster response efforts. And we support animal welfare partners across the country to provide rescue, shelter and support during emergency situations.
We participate in national and regional conferences and professional organizations – leading efforts that create positive change in the lives of pets, families, and communities.
