The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: SNW helps ranchers find ways to produce beef in harmony with nature. We work directly with ranchers to identify objectives specific to their ranchlands and create a plan for how to get there. Our regenerative ranching program includes financial and educational resources, along with rangeland monitoring, to create a product that is better for the climate and demands a higher market price.
Goal Two: Sustainable Northwest helps rural businesses, local governments, and Tribal Nations to bring local, clean energy projects to their communities. We believe rural communities play a crucial role in the transition to locally produced, clean energy so we assess energy needs, create energy plans, and identify priority projects.
Goal Three: SNW sees an opportunity to increase the pace and scale of forest conservation and restoration in the PNW. The region is experiencing severe wildfires due to unhealthy forest conditions, a warming climate, and years of suppressing beneficial fire. We are working with partners to improve forest health and resilience to reduce fire severity, prepare communities, and support recovery after wildfires.
