Through innovation and excellence in taiko, Portland Taiko affirms Asian American pride, inspires audiences, builds community, and educates about our heritage and culture.

Goals

1.We are working to increase administrative staffing to stabilize office operations, and support volunteers and fundraising. We are also investing in the technical and artistic capacity of performers. Eventually we hope to have a new, dedicated space for rehearsals, classes, performances and gatherings
2.We are working to deepen Asian American partnerships and foster Asian American pride by: a. Collaborating with sister organizations and other artists to support Asian American communities and advance social justice b. Working to attract more Asian American students and performers through increased taiko classes and outreach, with particular focus on AANHPI communities
