Due to our generous donors and grantors, Mosaic Medical’s financial structure did not significantly change due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
How COVID-19 impacted the organization's delivery of programs:
The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted Mosaic Medical’s ability to do face to face patient care and dramatically increased virtual visits, from 10% virtual visits pre-pandemic to 90% virtual visits at the height of the pandemic. We also started drive-up care to more easily serve our patients with COVID testing, vaccines and other care. We anticipate an average of 30% virtual visits (phone and video combined) in the future with a continued emphasis on making drive-up care convenient and easily accessed. In addition to providing care in a different manner, our staffing has been significantly affected by the pandemic in terms of being dedicated to meeting our patients’ on-going care needs on top of COVID testing and vaccination for our patients and the community. Because of their dedication to our mission our staff has risen to this challenge with hard-work and innovation.

Mosaic Medical had to quickly pivot to providing virtual patient care and telehealth for the majority of appointments during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Mosaic provided community- wide vaccinations and COVID-19 testing.
Innovations the organization intends to continue permanently after the pandemic:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mosaic Medical implemented drive up care and virtual visits, both which will remain after the pandemic is behind us. Mosaic's drive up care is convenient for many of our patients and will continue to provide testing, vaccinations, blood pressure checks, and more.

Over 50 patients sit on our Patient Advisory Councils and provide a valuable perspective related to the delivery of care and communication across Mosaic’s 15 clinics. We are extremely appreciative of their donated time and knowledge, as they assist with providing personal and detailed feedback from every clinic in the region. This allows us to receive real time feedback on new programs, ongoing services, and more.

Mosaic Medical utilizes multiple diverse Patient Advisory Committees to hear feedback directly from the patients we serve. Recently, we heard feedback from many of the Patient Advisory Committees that Mosaic Medical's 'drive up' mode of care is highly convenient beyond COVID-19, so that service will continue to be offered indefinitely and will be expanded to include blood pressure checks, among other services.
