    Mission

    The mission of KVIE is to educate, enrich, enlighten and inspire diverse audiences and individuals through high quality television programming and related services that enhance the quality of life for people throughout Northern California. KVIE's vision is to open minds and change lives, giving people information they need to participate fully in the community we share and the world around us. KVIE provides educational programs and services for the young and lifelong learners. Our local productions and PBS programming engage the mind and spirit to promote personal and community growth. KVIE's first continuous broadcast day was February 23, 1959. KVIE broadcasts 5 different streams of programming, and 3 digital over the air signals.
