Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence

    Mission

Next Door Solutions' mission is to end domestic violence in the moment and for all time - creating paths for survivors through crisis to safety, stability, and self-sufficiency. Our goal is to decrease the number of people in Santa Clara County who will experience intimate partner violence (IPV) in their lifetime. Each year more than 2,300 adults and children, across the gender spectrum, receive a range of Survivor-Defined services of shelter, housing assistance, legal advocacy, risk assessment and safety planning, crisis intervention and group counseling, self-sufficiency case management, therapy, and children's aligned services. We advance promising initiatives focused on addressing systemic issues and community norms that perpetuate intimate partner violence: 1) Intersectionality of IPV and Healthcare; 2) Men, Boys, & Gender-Based Violence - men as survivors, as allies, and as perpetrators; 3) Advancing Children's Services - addressing trauma due to exposure to violence.
