Vision

As jail chaplains we meet the spiritual needs of individuals incarcerated in our county. As reentry chaplains we bridge the gap between incarceration and reentry by providing chaplain-led reentry services inside and outside of the jails. We are a community of people from diverse life experiences and spiritual backgrounds united in our call to be with those who are incarcerated and recently released. We believe every human being has inherent dignity; incarceration doesn’t define an individual’s identity or potential, and transformation and hope grow as we connect to one another and the love of God. We value self-awareness and humility, learning with the faith communities of our county, laying aside our own agendas, and listening well to ensure no one suffers alone.

Goals

1. 1.Research and connect with neighboring counties about opportunities to provide chaplaincy support and services in other county jails.
2. 2.Continue to grow our chaplain-led reentry program launched in 2023 by recruiting and training volunteer mentors.
3. 3.Review and revise our strategic plan with our Board of Directors.
