Vision

Our goal is to contribute to the field of early childhood education by providing true play-based learning at our center, combined with a strong social-emotional curriculum and support for children's self-regulation and, as they get older, peer interactions. We also strive to foster a pipeline of teachers through our workforce development program with Castlemont High School in Oakland where students receive course credit for working at our site, and to provide competitive wages and sustainable career pathways here for those who work in this industry (primarily women of color).

Goals

1. 1.One of the key components of our program is our scholarship program, which allows us to admit low-income families, ensuring economic diversity among our student and family populations. Currently 15% of our families receive scholarship, and the average discount for these families is 83%!
2. 2.We have been updating our systems to improve efficiency and ease communication for families and staff, as well as to facilitate our financial management.
3. 3.We continue to look for opportunities to make an impact on the field of early childhood education and thereby on families and children in our community.
