Yosemite Rivers Alliance

Mission

Promoting stewardship of the Tuolumne, Stanislaus, and Merced Rivers through: education, community outreach and adventures, collaboration with a diverse array of stakeholders, on-the-ground restoration projects, advocacy and grassroots organizing to demonstrate public support for our work.

Vision

We want every person who benefits from the Tuolumne to know that their food was grown from its water, their tap water comes from it, their wild salmon were hatched in its gravels, and their backpacking, fishing and rafting trip depends on its health.

Goals

1.Educate. Through our education programs, we are investing in the river stewards of the future.
2.We wouldn’t be where we are today without the community of advocates, who continue to show up to public hearings, share their stories and fight for the ecosystems and communities of the watershed.
3.From the headwater forests in the Sierra Nevada mountains to the flows that course through the San Francisco Bay, we know restoration improves the health of the entire watershed.
