Vision

We envision a future where arid-adapted and traditional crops are abundant in the gardens, farms, and kitchens of our region; where Indigenous seeds are in the hands of Indigenous growers, and all communities are supported in keeping their unique seeds and agricultural heritages alive.

Goals

1. 1.From our Strategic Plan, this goal expands access to seeds, resources, and knowledge for Indigenous and other communities connected to our collection. We strengthen Tribal partnerships, support seed sovereignty and food security, and provide seeds, workshops, and technical assistance to help communities save, grow, and steward traditional crops.
2. 2.From our Strategic Plan, this goal invests in organizational capacity through financial resilience, diversified revenue (retail, donors, grants), and improved internal systems. We strengthen operations, HR, and financial processes, enhance communications and storytelling, and invest in facilities and staff development to support long-term mission success.
3. 3.From our Strategic Plan, this goal advances our advocacy by ensuring Indigenous representation, leadership, and decision-making across the organization. We prioritize community reflection on our board and staff, consult Tribal leaders and cultural authorities, and build partnerships that support Indigenous-led seed stewardship, education, and research.
