Project Open Hand

Mission

Founded in 1985, Project Open Hand is a nonprofit organization that provides 'meals with love' to the sick and vulnerable in our community. Our food is like medicine, helping clients recover from illness, get stronger, and lead healthier lives. Every day, we prepare 2,500 nutritious meals and provide 200 bags of healthy groceries to help sustain our clients as they battle serious illnesses, isolation, or the health challenges of old age. We serve San Francisco and Alameda Counties, engaging more than 125 volunteers every day to nourish our neighbors.<br>

1.Our primary goal is always to provide the highest service to our clients through our Wellness and Community Nutrition Programs.
2.Second to providing the highest possible client service for our existing programs is to continually expand our outreach to all those in need of medically-tailored meals.
3.To achieve Goal 1 & 2, we must always be investing in our infrastructure to meet the volume and capacity needs demanded by our services. We cannot and will not stop producing for our clients.
