Mission

Rainforest Action Network preserves forests, protects the climate and upholds human rights by challenging corporate power and systemic injustice through frontline partnerships and strategic campaigns. RAN works toward a world where the rights and dignity of all communities are respected and where healthy forests, a stable climate and wild biodiversity are protected and celebrated.

Goals

1.Stop Deforestation: RAN pressures banks and brands to adopt policies that protect forests, reduce climate pollution associated with deforestation, respect human rights, and improve accountability.
2.Defund Climate Change: RAN challenges financial institutions and insurers to adopt and implement policies that end their support for extreme fossil fuels and that respect human and Indigenous rights.
3.Support Communities: RAN provides direct support to frontline communities through our Community Action Grants program as well as working in solidarity with frontline and Indigenous communities.
