Pet Adoption League of Gem County

Mission

The MISSION of Pet Adoption League of Gem County Idaho, a charitable organization, is to return lost cats and dogs to their owners and to find loving homes for those that have no home. We promote the compassionate care and treatment of animals everywhere.

Goals

1.Saving Lives: Expand pet retention programs & adoption programs to ensure people get help to care for and keep their pets and to help adopt new pets to forever homes. Support families with pet food, low-cost microchipping, free dog tags, low-cost spay & neuter programs, and fencing to reduce dog homelessness, improve the quality of life, and enable adoptions.
2.Increasing Awareness: Increase community awareness regarding the (1) importance of pet spay & neuter to control pet homelessness and (2) the importance of microchips and ID tags to aid in reuniting dogs with their owners through education & financial incentives.
3.Meeting Community Sheltering Needs: Serve our growing community needs by implementing facility enhancements through the increase of outdoor dog runs at the existing facility and by launching a long-term capital campaign to build a new and larger facility.
