Emergency Food Network

Mission

Emergency Food Network (EFN) is Pierce County, Washington’s nonprofit food distributor, with a mission to provide Pierce County with a consistent, diverse, and nutritious food supply so that no person goes hungry. EFN partners with a network of over 75 food pantries, meal sites, and shelters, supplying them with more than one million pounds of food every month, at no cost to them. EFN leverages donated and purchased food with government commodities to distribute 2 meals for $1.

Goals

1.EFN's goal for 2025 is to distribute 20 million pounds of food so that we can meet the growing need for food assistance.
2.EFN aims to grow our Home Delivery Program in 2025 so that we can serve more families who cannot access traditional food pantries.
3.EFN is building relationships with farmers and other food distributors to increase food donations and to purchase more produce from local farmers.
