Mission

We are on a mission to save the world's coral reefs. At the Coral Reef Alliance, we work with communities and partners around the world to keep corals healthy so they adapt to climate change. Our approach to conservation blends local knowledge with innovative ideas to create well-managed protected areas, reduce land-based pollution, and ensure climate adaptation is considered in marine management at all levels – locally, regionally, and globally.

Goals

1.We create well-managed protected areas. Fish can recover with protection. By improving enforcement, funding, and planning, we help protected areas deliver real results for reefs, fish populations, and local communities.
2.We build climate-resilient reefs. Tomorrow’s reefs depend on today’s vision. By protecting diverse, vast, well-connected reef systems, we help corals share adaptive traits and survive a rapidly changing climate.
3.We reduce land-based pollution. Clean water starts on land. By reducing pollution from sewage, runoff, and development, we help reefs stay healthy, avoid disease, and grow stronger over time.
