Vision

Camphill California is dedicated to nurturing the unique potential of every individual through meaningful work, inclusive living, and shared daily rhythms that support the well-being of body, soul, and spirit. We are a life-sharing community rooted in the international Camphill movement and guided by anthroposophical principles as formulated by Rudolf Steiner. We cultivate a culture of dignity, respect, and belonging inspired by Karl König’s vision of social renewal. Together, we grow through collaboration: strengthening relationships within our community and cultivating deep connections with families, neighbors, and mission-aligned partners both locally and globally.

Goals

1. 1.We will increase access to Camphill California’s programs by expanding capacity, strengthening staffing and infrastructure, and improving pathways for participation, ensuring more adults with developmental disabilities can live, learn, and work in an inclusive, dignified community environment.
2. 2.Camphill California will concentrate on our core programs and services to advance our mission and sustainability, while thoughtfully scaling back efforts that are not essential, ensuring our community’s time, resources, and energy are aligned with what matters most.
3. 3.Camphill California will strengthen internal infrastructure, financial, administrative, managerial, and technical, to improve sustainability, accountability, and coordination, enabling our mission-centered community to operate effectively and meet evolving needs over time.
