Mission

Promote the long-term survival of the ecosystems and biodiversity of the Área Silvestre Protegido (wild protected area) of Área de Conservación Guanacaste in Costa Rica through conservation, education, science-based management and biodiversity development.

1.Align our programmatic work with the express priorities of ACG, so as to ensure we are most effectively working toward fulfilling our mission. Deepen our collaboration with ACG and our new Costa Rica-based NGO, Asociación de Conservación Guanacaste Bosque y Mar.
2.Support Área de Conservación Guanacaste so as to ensure its survival in perpetuity.
3.Continue the bioinventory of both the terrestrial and marine sectors of ACG through the use of DNA barcoding.
