Abandoned Animal Rescue

Mission

AAR is an all volunteer organization that works towards ending pet overpopulation that results in the euthanasia of unwanted cats and dogs by providing a rescue and adoption center by emphasizing the importance of spaying and neutering and by educating on humane practices.

Vision

All cats and dogs are healthy, fed and have homes; and no unwanted litters.

Goals

1.AAR's goal is to increase awareness of the importance of spay/neuter in ending pet overpopulation and provide help to end pet abandonment and surrender.
2.AAR is an all-volunteer organization; this impacts the number of core programs that we can effectively manage, maintain, staff and fund. So we limit our core programs to those we have qualified volunteers to oversee. We focus on animal health & welfare, rescue and adoption.
3.AAR constantly looks for ways to increase adoptions and reduce the number of cats & dogs surrendered to AAR. The two main components are volunteers willing to learn new skills (like grant writing, fostering, fundraising) and having funds for a) shelter animals health and well-being and b) support pet owners in financial need.
