Vision

St. Mark’s envisions a future where people of all ages and backgrounds thrive in a vibrant, intergenerational community rooted in compassion, dignity, and inclusivity, anchored by our intergenerational campus and Square in the heart of San Francisco. Through innovative, service-enriched housing and holistic support, we aspire to create a model of sustainable, affordable living that fosters connection, well-being, and opportunity for generations to come. By transforming lives and strengthening community bonds, we will set a new standard for housing that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit.

Goals

1. 1.We aim to expand affordable, service-enriched housing for low-income seniors and vulnerable individuals in San Francisco. We will build and deliver 93 units at Ella Rohlffs Place by 2028 and 131 units at Parcel 1 by 2030.
2. 2.Our goal is to build an Inclusive, Intergenerational Community & Campus. Intergenerational communities enhance well-being by fostering connections and reducing isolation. Combining Martin Luther Tower, Ella Rohlffs Place, and Parcel 1 will create a vibrant campus where seniors, families, and younger residents support each other.
3. 3.We will strengthen Community Partnerships to Broaden Impact. Expanding St. Mark’s Square’s impact requires collaboration with nonprofits, government agencies, and faith-based groups. Strengthening partnerships will enhance resident services, ensure financial sustainability, and drive policy change.
