Mission

The Mission of red Hen Press, is to publish works if literary excellence, to foster diversity, and to promote literacy in our local schools.

We seek a community of readers and writers who are actively engaged in the essential human practice known as literature.

1.We have grown over the last few years and are now investing in our overall capacity through fundraising to establish a stable reserve, higher staff pay, and technological upgrades.
2.To expand our Writing in the Schools program to reach more schools and students, and to do so with upgraded textbooks of contemporary literature and poets.
3.To upgrade our event space to be a fully community-oriented resource for local theater productions, art gallery shows, and writing workshops.
