    Mission

    Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canine's mission is to transform lives through partnerships with service dogs. GDA|TLC provides highly skilled, professionally trained guide, service, and facility dogs along with personalized instruction in their care and use and a lifetime of support, at no cost, to people who need them. We provide: 1) Guide Dogs to individuals who are blind or visually impaired 2) Service Dogs to military Veterans with PTSD, TBI and/or mobility limitations 3) Service Dogs to children with Autism 4) Facility Dogs to professionals who work with other populations that can benefit from animal assisted intervention in settings such as healthcare facilities, schools or courthouses. GDA|TLC's extraordinary dogs become trusted companions that bring greater confidence and independence, offer new opportunities for social interaction and life experiences, assist with daily activities, and help our clients pursue their personal, educational and professional goals. All dogs and services are provided free of charge and available to eligible applicants from throughout the United States and Canada.
