Convalescent Aid Society

Mission

The Convalescent Aid Society is a non-profit organization in continuous operation since 1923, dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley, including Burbank, Glendale and La Cañada Flintridge, through the free loan of durable medical equipment for in-home use. Convalescent Aid Society is dedicated to improving the quality of life, restoring and prolonging mobility, promoting continued independence and autonomy and championing sustainable and cost effective re-use, repair and recycling of durable medical equipment.

Our vision is to expand our services so that everyone in the greater Los Angeles area has access to

Goals

1.To expand the reach of our free medical equipment loan program to areas outside of our current service catchment base.
2.As we expand to serve new clients, we need to bolster support from our current client and donor base so that we have the stability to sustain our service model.
3.The field of durable medical equipment continues to evolve as new and better items are introduced. CAS needs to adapt and provide new types of equipment to provide the best care for our clients.
