Goals

1. 1.We plan to continue to grow our annual Familia de Sangre event, a national conference focused on empowering, advocating for, and educating Spanish-speaking members of the bleeding disorders community.
2. 2.At both the state and federal level, HFSC will advance advocacy efforts through the EmPOWERment Webinar Series, Back to School Advocacy Day, participation in Washington Days with NBDF, and community engagement around World Hemophilia Day.
3. 3.While progress has been made in the past two decades in recognizing bleeding disorders in women, major hurdles remain, including overcoming medical provider bias, timely diagnosis, accurate testing, and equitable access to treatment.
