Mission

Saban Community Clinic's mission is to provide outstanding, compassionate care to anyone who needs it. Our vision is to achieve health equity and transform lives in Los Angeles. Originally founded as The Los Angeles Free Clinic in 1967, SCC has a long history of providing access to high quality medical, dental, behavioral health, and specialty care services. What began as a single storefront on Fairfax Avenue - providing free healthcare to impoverished young people - is now a prominent health care resource that has grown to include five (5) clinic sites. Renamed as Saban Community Clinic in 2013, the organization continues to provide excellent healthcare programs and services, including for thousands of people dealing with persistent poverty.

Goals

1.Pediatric Expansion Strategy: includes school-based health centers, and a Centering Pregnancy program for women of color (group based, culturally competent care).
2.B) Older &/or Complex Adults Strategy – SCC recognizes the need to focus on its highest need patients, such as the unhoused and the rapidly increasing older population.
3.Workforce - improved staff training & development (including DEI training/policy development), increased employee recognition & compensation rates, as well as improved employee engagement programs.
