Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego

Mission

Meals on Wheels San Diego County (MOWSDC)’s mission is to empower seniors and veterans to remain independent by nourishing their bodies, minds, and spirits. MOWSDC provides older adults 60+, caregivers, and disabled veterans with the home delivery of up to two nutritious meals a day at a subsidized price, accompanied by social visits, safety checks, and care navigator support with referrals if necessary.

1.Goal 1: Reach More Seniors Strategy: Build awareness, engagement, and services for underserved communities. Objective: Expand equitable access to Meals on Wheels services across San Diego County.
2.Goal 2: Test New Business Models to Increase Revenue Strategy: Pilot and scale earned-income ventures that generate unrestricted revenue. Objective: Increase organizational sustainability through innovation.
3.Goal 3: Capital Campaign Completion Strategy: Complete capital campaign Objective: Finish campaign and activate new assets by Dec 31, 2028.
