Long Beach Rescue Mission

Mission

Since 1972, the Long Beach Rescue Mission has opened its doors to thousands of men, women and children. The mission provides food, clothing, shelter and spiritual guidance to the homeless and less fortunate people of the community. The Long Beach Rescue Mission stands dedicated to helping individuals overcome the homeless cycle. We achieve long term goals and make a world of difference in today's society. The Long Beach Rescue Mission is comprised of four facilities. The Samaritan House serves as a home for men, the Apostle House a shelter for men with disabilities, Timothy House a shelter for transitional age youth, and Lydia House a safe haven for women and their children.

Goals

1.Additional three-story 60 bed shelter for women and children (currently under construction and opening in June 2026)
2.With the addition of 87 beds in the last three years our goal is to build our financial support to sustain these programs for years to come.
3.With new shelters there are increased facilities maintenance and our goal is to maintain a place of healing and hope that dignifies those we serve.
