Vision

We envision a world in which everyone can live freely and flourish without fearing for their lives, health, security, or their ability to remain where they are. We envision a world where freedom of movement is welcomed and not feared, and where systems of support that honor the experience of migration replace our current policies of enforcement, detention, incarceration, and criminalization.

Goals

1. 1.Resourcing the Movement. Resource the immigrant rights movement by providing timely legal and policy expertise to attorneys, advocates, organizers, and impacted individuals, and by coordinating regional rapid response hubs in under-resourced areas likely to experience mass enforcement.
2. 2.Keeping Communities Together. Keep communities together through targeted removal defense representation, litigation to defend policies that protect children and workers from deportation, and litigation challenging family separation or other harmful policies that stop people from accessing immigration benefits.
3. 3.Transforming Systems. Transform the immigration system through movement-supporting strategic litigation to challenge harsh enforcement actions, wrongful detention, and abusive treatment in detention, and by advocating for protective state and local laws.
