Mission

To meet the critical and expanding needs of the LGBTQI community through whole person care. Integrated services target drug and alcohol addiction, mental health concerns, and emphasize sexual health in a socially supportive environment. Services are available to anyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

To sustain a model addiction treatment program where LGBTQI men and women have full access to innovative, high quality whole person care.

Goals

1.We’re investing in the strength of our organization—expanding financial stability, improving technology, and supporting staff development—so Van Ness Recovery House can continue providing safe, affirming, life-changing recovery services for the LGBTQIA+ community.
2.Our goal is to broaden access to the vital programs and services that define VNRH—reaching more individuals in need, expanding supportive care, and strengthening pathways to lasting sobriety.
3.We are committed to strengthening our advocacy for Van Ness Recovery House and the LGBTQIA+ recovery community—raising awareness, reducing stigma, and championing policies that support safe, affirming, and accessible treatment for all.
