Mission

Founded in 1980, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of San Diego provides a "home-away-from-home" to families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions at local hospitals. Our community-supported Ronald McDonald House gives families a comfortable place to take a break, have a hot meal, get some sleep, and so much more. We also provide a supportive ear, warm hugs, and relief from the stress and expense of caring for a sick child.

Vision

Our vision is to provide a welcoming and convenient home base where families find support while taking care of their critically ill or injured children.

Goals

1.We seek to build and operate new capacity in a financially sustainable manner to serve more families. By adding capacity (guest suites) we will move families off our wait list and into rooms.
2.We seek to grow philanthropic support in all areas to sustain existing and new operations. We will focus on communicating our needs and vision to serve more families with a child in medical crisis.
3.We will maintain our focus on quality, meeting family needs, and scaling operational effectiveness and efficiency as new initiatives are developed.
