What are this organization’s external mobilizaton efforts?
(Please define the term external mobilization.) The NVF partners with other agencies that provide shelter and temporary housing for homeless Veterans by supporting their efforts with pass-through donations the NVF receives. We donate pallets of water, clothing, shoes, socks, personal hygiene items and non-perishable food in addition to household furnishings. We participated in a bathroom remodel for a disabled Vet, we distribute wheelchairs and other equipment donated to us. We participate in StandDowns, Veteran Support events in the LA area and from Ventura County to San Diego.

External: Our Survivor Box program was our response to the pandemic. We delivered masks, gloves, sanitizer, personal hygiene items & a 3-day supply of water & non-perishable food items to homeless encampments not served by other agencies. Internal: our Prison Outreach program for incarcerated Veterans has a Veteran staff member, a former incarcerated Vet, learning Jim White's prgram to help Veterans prepare for successful parole hearings.
