Mission

L.A. Works is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to unite Angelenos and inspire action for a more equitable Los Angeles. The three pillars of our mission are to: increase volunteer participation in the community; build the capacity of nonprofit organizations to achieve their missions through access to volunteer labor and other resources; and educate and encourage people to engage in the broader social issues affecting the greater Los Angeles community.

Vision

L.A. Works is striving to elevate volunteer service and use it as a tool reignite both civic pride and a passion to be an active part of change in Los Angeles.

Goals

1.Increase and improve the availability, quality, and impact of the volunteer opportunities to affect change in Los Angeles.
2.Expand L.A. Works’ role as a convener and leading voice for volunteer and civic engagement as a means for social change.
3.Maximize resources to achieve the highest standards of management, business operations, and fiscal responsibility.
