Coalition for Engaged Education

Mission

The Coalition for Engaged Education’s (“Coalition”) mission is to empower youth impacted by the justice and foster care systems. With compassionate social support, education, and advocacy for systemic change, we serve young people as they develop positive, self-sustaining lives.

Vision

Combining internationally recognized visionary educator Paul Cummins’ expertise and evidence-based methodologies from the fields of education and juvenile justice research, the Coalition was founded in 1994 and our personalized, integrated programs were specifically designed to help youth break the cycle of poverty and trauma and bring equity to historically marginalized populations throughout L.A. County.

Goals

1.Provide intensive mobile case management for 180-225 youth annually and increase the number of quality touchpoints with each youth to improve the overall quality of programming provided
