Communications is often one of the most overlooked and under-resourced areas of a nonprofit organization, and yet, this core capability touches all aspects of an organization’s work and impact, from program delivery and fundraising to community-based power building and broader issue advancement.

COVID-19 has required many organizations to quickly change the way they carry out their missions to continue to make positive social impact. These pivots require exactly the kind of strategic know-how Cause Communications practices, teaches, and delivers – including support for internal and external communications and messaging as well as reimagining events and other activities benefitting the community. Prioritizing a social return on investment, Cause has been responsive nearly around the clock to fulfill individual nonprofit requests for wise counsel and has provided many more hours on COVID-related work for clients than fees received. We have also scaled up our own training programs so we can reach exponentially more purpose-driven organizations in need of assistance and partnered with professional associations to provide free workshops for their Los Angeles-based members in the nonprofit sector.
