Goal One: Coral Reef Monitoring- Reef Check works with teams of citizen scientists in over 40 countries worldwide. Our network of EcoDivers conduct over 600 surveys a year to monitor the health of coral reefs.

Goal Two: Kelp Forest Monitoring- We train scuba divers to be citizen scientists familiar with CA’s marine life and how to survey kelp forests monitoring kelp forests along the entire coast of California.

Goal Three: Kelp Forest Restoration- at several locations in central and northern CA, we use different methods to reduce purple urchin populations and promote kelp growth.
Goal Type: New program(s) based on observed changes in needs among our constituencies/communities served.
