    Hawai'i Foodbank

    Mission

    Founded by John White in 1982 and in service to our community since 1983, Hawai'i Foodbank nourishes our 'ohana today and works to end hunger tomorrow. As Hawai'i’s leading hunger relief organization, we are a trusted and established resource for those in need of perishable and non-perishable food items, including culturally relevant food that is familiar to the melting pot of cultures and ethnicities in Hawai'i and fresh, local farm-direct produce. Our mission is from the heart, and we fulfill our mission with integrity, humanity and aloha. Hawai'i Foodbank sources food through donations, purchase, and government commodities, and provides food to those in need through its network of more than 250 hunger relief partners. The Foodbank directly serves the islands of O'ahu, Kaua'i, and Ni'ihau, and partners with The Food Basket and Maui Food Bank to serve Hawai'i and Maui Counties. It is a partner food bank of Feeding America.
