Goals

1. 1.1. Expand Access to Family-Sustaining Careers • Grow pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship readiness programs. • Develop targeted outreach to women, BIPOC, and underrepresented groups. • Build partnerships with unions, employers, and training providers. • Create career pathways in construction, green jobs, and emerging industries.

Strengthen Retention and Advancement Supports • Provide wraparound services: financial support, childcare resources, transportation, and housing referrals. • Launch a Tradeswomen Support Network with mentorship, peer groups, and leadership training. • Establish a Tool Library for participants entering the trades. • Advocate for workplace equity and anti-harassment policies.

Advance Equity Through Advocacy and Systems Change • Influence policy to expand equity in union construction and environmental careers. • Partner with government and industry leaders to establish diversity benchmarks. • Promote accountability in workforce systems through data collection and reporting. • Publish research and best practices to shift the field toward equity-driven models.
