Vision

A nation of hope where extreme poverty has been overcome and all people live in dignity and security in harmony with the natural world.

Goals

1. 1.We will continue to refurbish the dilapidated Likamba Primary School. We have many improvements left to do at the school. Next we need to build a covered area where the children can shelter from the rain as they eat. The first toilets ever built at the school are being finished now – there will be changing rooms for girls for the first time. Now girls of all ages can continue coming to school.
2. 2.We learned recently that the kids are not getting regular meals at school & many times they aren’t getting good nutrition at home either. So they have no energy to even come to school. We know that if we can guarantee one meal a day that they will have the opportunity to actually learn and their parents will be sure they get to school each day. We will build a hen house as a part of this effort.
3. 3.There is a great need for teacher housing. It’s difficult for teachers to get to this rural school and they are often understaffed. There’s a desperate need to have a place for good teachers to stay while they are teaching.
