United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
On September 25, 2015, 193 countries at the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which included the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The goals include ending poverty, hunger, and inequality, finding solutions to climate change, and improving access to quality healthcare and education for all. Each goal has a set of targets (169 in total) that are to be achieved by the year 2030.
Here, at Charity Navigator, we rate the Financial Health, Accountability, and Transparency of over 8,000 charities. These charities work hard to meet the needs of the people they serve and many aim to eradicate the problems that plague our world today. In order to help individual donors contribute to the global effort of achieving the SDGs, we’ve curated this list* of highly-rated charities, working on a national and international scale, whose missions and programs speak to the various goals. By sorting the charities in this way, we hope to make it easier for donors to support the goals they feel most passionately about.
