What are this organization’s external mobilizaton efforts?
We engage in a wide range of external mobilization efforts. Our annual event, Power Summit, brings together leaders across the field to provide knowledge to young prospective leaders. We are members of the Movement Cooperative, a knowledge sharing cooperative of progressive independent organizations. Our research team regularly presents their findings to different panels and even won an award at the 2022 Netroots Nation Conference. Voto Latino has filed and/or joined four separate lawsuits against the states of Texas and Arizona for unconstitutional voter suppression laws. This year, ahead of the 2022 midterms, Voto Latino launched the "Defend the Future Coalition" in partnership with March for Our Lives, Planned Parenthood, Emily's List, APIA Vote, When We All Vote, The Human Rights Campaign, and The Leadership Conference. The coalition has hosted and will continue to host rallies across the country to empower young people to vote so we create a future where everyone thrives.
