In 2021 CLC hired an independent fundraising consultant to provide professional development to CLC's Development Manager and to help CLC revise and streamline its fundraising system. Additionally, all CLC core staff are encouraged to attend any professional trainings they deem will be useful to them.

CLC maintains numerous community partnerships aimed at increasing community awareness of CLC programs, increasing capacity of all organizations, and maximizing resources for the benefit of the community. CLC is a member of the Summit County Program Providers Collaborative. CLC participates in multiple community fundraising events throughout the year, and maintains a variety of social media, including a website, instagram, and Facebook.

As a small community learning center, CLC is able to respond in real time to community needs. When Summit County schools closed on March 14th, 2020, CLC knew the impact upon students would be tremendous. By the morning of March 16th, CLC introduced the Covid Community Learning Program, which provided free virtual tutoring to everyone in our community while paying all our tutors their full contracted hourly rate. CLC administrative staff donated their March salaries to supply start-up funding for the program, and collectively our tutors donated $775 in voluntary in-kind services. Due to funding limitations, CCLP concluded May 1, but it was able to provide 35 students with 252 hours of free tutoring. CLC is proud of the support we were able to provide to our community, and we are actively working to build up funding to continue to serve our community through these unprecedented times. Jump ahead to Fall 2021, with schools preparing to reopen this fall semester and families facing uncertainty and hardship on all fronts, CLC has been working on building proactive and flexible academic support models in collaboration with our community partners. We are working towards supplying students with needed tutors directly in schools; we are staffing our tutors in new locations, like the Summit County Teen Center.
