What are this organization’s external mobilizaton efforts?
NCGH works with faith communities, schools, nonprofits, grassroots organizations, and concerned citizens to build and maintain programs that aim to alleviate hunger. NCGH works with organizations in 32 states, D.C., and Honduras. NCGH Director Kären Rasmussen often presents her work on childhood hunger advocacy, particularly in the Unitarian Universalist (UU) community. NCGH has published free discussion guides to help spread information about childhood hunger. It provides mentorship so that organizations can build hunger advocacy programs that will thrive and grow. To help raise funds and elevate awareness of the issue of childhood hunger, NCGH partners with Faithify, a crowdfunding platform that aims to inspire and extend the reach of UU values, lower the walls between congregations, and ignite ministries in new venues, formats, and communities. NCGH actively seeks partners, mentorship opportunities, and donations using its website, select promotional opportunities, and social media.
