Dignity U Wear was founded in 2000 by Henri Landwirth, a philanthropist, Korean War veteran and Holocaust survivor. As a young boy, during the war Henri suffered the loss of his parents. After years of imprisonment, he was liberated. Unbroken by his circumstances, Henri immigrated to the U.S. and worked tirelessly to become a success. One day while visiting a homeless shelter, he asked what he could do to help. One man answered, "Sir, we need underwear." That day he went to a store and purchased all the underwear he could find. From that conversation, Dignity U Wear was born and since that day millions of people all ages have been served the gift of dignity through fitted new clothing. We work with nonprofit agencies and school districts across the nation. We have forged close relationships with clothing manufacturers, as new clothing is sent directly to our Jacksonville, FL warehouse. Children, families in crisis, homeless, and veterans are the primary recipients. #GIftofDignity
