Its mission is to lift the spirits of America's troops and their families by providing critical services and supports. Founded in 1941, the USO of NC is a nonprofit, charitable organization, relying on the generosity of North Carolinians to support its programs and services. The USO of NC touches more than 575,000 lives annually, helping our troops and their families through education, wellness, transition assistance, resiliency and troop and family support programs across the state. With seven major military installations, North Carolina has the fourth largest demographic of active and reserve duty components in the country. USO of NC has five centers statewide, four satellite offices and a mobile center. Our statewide centers include two installation based centers and a center at the Fort Bragg Warrior Transition Battalion for wounded warriors and four airport travel centers.
