We need to reach more kids by offering more programs at our state of the art Arts Center and in the community at local Schools and City Recreation Centers. We want to continue to work with organizations who serve children and identify new partners to brings the arts tp children.

Rainey hires teaching artists to instruct classes in dance, El Sistema Orchestra. , drama, music and visual arts. Classes in El Sistema and dance are conducted at a mastery level. The Rainey Institute is a state of the art Arts Center that is open 6 days a week offering classes. We conduct classes in schools, shelters and libraries to meet students and families that cannot travel to Rainey.

We are able to see the enrollment numbers grow. The siw week summer arts day camp is continually filled to capacity. We would like all the program offerings to boast the same numbers. We also continue to expand the number of off site programs. The numbers of class size indicate if we are successful in reaching more kids.

Rainey Institute has been active in making community connections. We will continue to offer the El Sistema Orchestra program to East Cleveland students at an East Cleveland public school. We have been providing promming at 5 Cleveland Public Library sites over the past year and will conintue the programs. Going forward we are excited to join the Say Yes Cleveland inititiative and offer programs to more Children in the Cleveland Municipal School Department. We have recently began a collaboration with the City of Cleveland Recreation Centers. Rainey teaching artists will be presenting 3 different classes, dance, bucket drumming and El sistema Orchestra 4 or 5 days a week to youth 8 - 18 years of age.
