Founded in 1919, the Long Beach Area Council prepares young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Scouts ages 6-21 give back over 35,000 hours of service annually to the greater Long Beach, Lakewood, Bellflower, Signal Hill, and Avalon communities. Changing lives through leadership, service, life skills, teamwork, and positive role models.
